A data-driven approach to traditional agriculture

We at Shriram have always believed that promising results can be achieved by sound science. Shriram has been working extensively on educating Indian farmers through trials and demonstrations on how science is instrumental in changing the face of agriculture.

Our strong belief in science is strengthened by our international collaborations with globally reputed institutes that have access to a diverse gene bank and different technologies. This helps us develop superior products and collect research-based insight.

Research that consistently breeds excellence

Shriram’s vision of bringing science to agriculture through groundbreaking R&D activities became a reality through establishment of our applied R&D facility, the Shriram Agriculture Research Centre (SARC).

With centers spread across India, SARC provides the infrastructure for breeding and developing high yielding products.
Backed with the support of well recognised scientists, the Shriram Wheat Breeding program has come a long way. Today, our Shriram Super Wheat varieties have become the first choice for Indian farmers.

Extending the success of Shriram Super Wheat, we envision the scope in other crops to bring superior lines of high yielding seeds in the market.

The fruits of our tireless labour

To screen and explore the suitability of high potential plant nutrition products, a state-of-the-art facility has been developed at SARC called the Center for Advanced Plant Nutrition (CAPN). Along with strengthening our R&D capabilities, we regularly conduct joint research with companies from Italy, Greece, China, Ireland and other nations to design and develop new-age products for the Indian market.

With constant efforts to bring differentiated products and expand our research infrastructure, Shriram is making huge strides in improving the state of farming in India with…BETTER SCIENCE.
